Chanukah on the square

  • Chabad Springfield 118112 Park Central Square Springfield, MO, 65806 United States (map)

Our hearts are heavy as we learn of the horrific terrorist attack in Sydney, Australia, where a Chabad Rabbi and members of the Jewish community were murdered during a Chanukah celebration. We mourn with their families and with Jews around the world.

At the same time, we draw strength from our faith and from one another. Chanukah reminds us that light pushes away darkness, and that we respond to hate with unity and pride.

We encourage our community to come together tonight at 4:30 PM for the public menorah lighting at the Square. We are coordinating with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of the event.

We stand strong, hopeful, and united — praying for better days ahead.
